Air ShowThe Air Show offers an excellent opportunity to forge coalition partnership for the future. Hence, department through its new aviation company GUJSAIL had planned to undertake air show activities for the development of aviation industry. In this regards, the GUJSAIL will encourage and promote the air show on PPP mode. Hence, the projected Government investment towards the Viability Gap Funding for Onshore & Offshore Connectivity during the Budget Plan 2012-13 is Rs. 1crore

Marketing & Road Show for Investment PromotionTo encourage the aviation industry in the State the Gujarat Government has to undertake certain shows pertaining to the growth and development of Aviation in the Gujarat State like Counters, Advertisement, and Sponsorship etc. Hence, the projected Government investment towards the Viability Gap Funding for Onshore & Offshore Connectivity during the Budget Plan 2012-13 is Rs. 1crore.


Aviation Adventure Sport Promotion

Aviation Adventure Sport PromotionCivil Aviation is one of the fastest developing sectors in India. To develop the aviation sector in the State a new company GUJSAIL has been formed, who will undertake all the aviation related activities.

The GUJSAIL will promote the Aviation Adventure sports like Aerial sports which is divided into six types: hang gliding, paragliding, parasailing, skydiving, hot air ballooning etc. Hence, the projected Government investment towards the Viability Gap Funding for Onshore & Offshore Connectivity during the Budget Plan 2012-13 is Rs. 1crore.


Major Maintenance of State Government Own Airstrip

Major Maintenance of State Government Own AirstripThe State Government has 3 Airstrips which are Amreli, Mehsana & Mandvi Airstrip which is in working condition at present. The State Government has done MOU on Mehsana and Mandvi for Training purpose. Sometime the State Government Helicopter/Aircraft also land at Mehsana and Mandvi airstrips, in this regards the Maintenance of the airstrips like boundary wall and runway is to be incurred by the State Government. Hence, the projected Government investment towards the Viability Gap Funding for Onshore & Offshore Connectivity during the Budget Plan 2012-13 is Rs. 3crore.


Security for State Government Own Airstrip

Security for State Government Own AirstripThe State Government has 3 Airstrips which is already functioning, recently the State Government has decided to develop 11 more airstrips, in its first phase it has decided to develop 5 airstrips i.e. Ambaji, Dwarka, Palitana, Ankleshwar & Dahej. In this regards land acquisition for above said airstrips is in process.

The State Government has decided to keep security for the above said airstrips as these airstrips are encroached by the nearby villagers, also to protect the boundary wall, buildings, theft etc from the miscreant. The State Government would like to hire Security Guards with Arms & Ammunition. Hence, the projected Government investment towards the Viability Gap Funding for Onshore & Offshore Connectivity during the Budget Plan 2012-13 is Rs. 1crore.


Professional Services, Air Services, Consultancy Studies and Services

The Civil Aviation Department, Govt. of Gujarat has planned to construct 11 air strips within the State of Gujarat. The Hon’ble C.M. has given his kind consent for the same. The Government of Gujarat through GIDB has carried out the exercise to eliminate the Request for Qualification (RFQ) stage and thus reducing the time consumed in the consultant selection process. An exhaustive and stringent evaluation process was adopted for selecting the consultant.

Hence, GIDB has short listed few consultants for providing consultancy services on the development of Civil Aviation infrastructure for the State of Gujarat. Hence, the projected Government investment towards the Professional Service, Air Services, Consultancy Studies and Services the Budget Plan 2012-13 is Rs. 2.45 Crore.


Maintenance of Aircraft

Maintenance of AircraftThe State Government has one aircraft B-200 by call sign VT-GUJ. The Operation & Maintenance contract for State Govt. aircraft deals directly with Safety of VVIP’s i.e. H.E. the Governor and Hon’ble CM who are both in `Z’ plus security category. Hence, it is important that such operation & maintenance contract should be awarded to the technically best suited and competent party. Hence, the projected Government investment towards the Maintenance of Aircraft of the Budget Plan 2012-13 is Rs. 5 crore.
